There is a gate in the eastern wall of the traditional Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The gate is sealed, blocked up with stone. The purpose of this blockage is to prevent the Messiah, the Lord Jesus from returning to the “Temple.” In addition to blocking the “eastern gate” the Muslims have buried their dead right in front of it. Coming in contact with a dead person (or their grave?) causes a Jew to be unclean, and so the graves are placed to preclude the Messiah from returning.

The initial problem with this action of blocking the Eastern Gate of the traditional Temple Mount is the Lord stated that He would choose the place for His name to dwell.
“Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there.” – Deuteronomy 12:11For those who have been receiving my lessons, here is a reminder of the Scripture that tells us where the Lord chose to dwell.
“For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation.” – Psalm 132:13
“... to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the Mount Zion.” – Isaiah 18:7And further, Scripture tells us exactly where Mount Zion is.
“Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.” – Second Samuel 5:7There is another Scriptural reason why blocking the Eastern Gate to prevent the arrival of Jesus Messiah will fail. This reason applies to any structure that might be considered the Temple of God. It has not yet been built!
The only place the Eastern Gate is mentioned in the Bible is in the prophecy of Ezekiel, and this prophecy is about the future Millennial Temple
“Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut. Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.” – Ezekiel 44:1-3Think of the effort that could have been spared if men simply read the Word of God, the Holy Bible. How blessed we are to have received it today centuries, even millennia, after it was written under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
Praise the Lord for His Holy Word! Praise Him daily and always and ever!
